Hey, it’s Ben!
Of all the things that slow down first-time acquisitions…
One that shows up more than almost any other is analysis paralysis.
Here’s how to get past it. 👇

“What I was missing the whole time was mentorship and camaraderie.”
Bryan became the first Canadian to close a deal in Acquisition Ace, buying a $125k trailer manufacturing business.
“I think that’s what I was missing the whole time... is some sort of mentorship or camaraderie... somebody to talk this through. It’s hard to do it by yourself. It’s much much easier when you have somebody to do it with."

What it looks like
When people first start looking at potential business acquisitions, it can take them months to evaluate a single business without making a decision.
There can also be lots of back-and-forth about whether it's worth submitting an offer.
Ultimately, it keeps coming back to waiting for more information, more certainty, and more confidence before moving forward.

Why this never works
Perfect certainty never comes!
Every deal has unknowns.
Due diligence exists specifically to reduce those unknowns, but it still exists after you’ve made an offer.
Trying to eliminate all uncertainty upfront keeps you in evaluation mode forever, and does not help you move forward.
Buyers who close have clear criteria, make calls, and move forward, trusting that they’ll figure it out.
(Inside Acquisition Ace, members develop clear search criteria and deal evaluation frameworks early, so decisions happen faster and analysis paralysis doesn’t get in the way. To see how our community can help you with your first acquisition, book a call with our team here.)

The fix
Decide what a good deal looks like before you start looking.
When your criteria are clear, you don’t have to spend an eternity deliberating.
The business fits or it doesn’t, so you can move forward or move on.
That clarity is what separates buyers from dreamers.
My own first acquisition took over eighteen months, and a big part of that was me.
I had the information, but was waiting to feel more ready.
I promise - with the right frameworks, almost anyone can figure this out.
To get a structured process for your own deal search, the Acquisition Ace community can help you get out of analysis paralysis.
